As breeders we all dream of owning one of the top mares in the country. If you share that dream then look no further, here she is. Weltana is a 7 year old State Premium mare by Weltmeyer/Werther. She is the daughter of one of Germany's most famous mares, 'Weltdame'. This very special daughter stands 16.3hh. There are so many things that can be said both about this mare and her incredible family. To name a few... on her own she has many Mare Class and Show victories, she has an overall 8 at her Inspection and an incredible 8.33 at her Performance test including three 8's for movement an 8 & 9 for rideability and an 8 & 9 for jumping ability. This incredible daughter of Weltdame began her show career as a 2 year old and won several 1a prizes. She went on to win her Inspection and place in the top 3 at her Performance test against very tough competition like Ramina K who went on to be the top priced horse at an Elite Hanoverian auction in Verden, selling for $360,000DM. Next she was invited to the Pre-selection for the Eurpoean Mare Championships in Brussels. Only 22 of the best mares from the Hanoverian breed were invited for this selection. Her full sister SPS Wertvolle was part of the Champion team at the European Mare Championships in Brussels in 1992. An incredible feat. In Mare Shows one of Weltana's biggest accomplishments was her 3rd place finish at the prestigious and very famous Ratje-Niebuhr show where only the very best mares are selected to compete. Just being invited to this show is an honor but to finish in the top 3 is incredible. Now, on to her family, her mother Weltdame is featured in many magazines and even a Limited Edition Hard cover book for her achievements. Weltdame was part of many Mare Show victories, winner of the prestigious Louis-Wiegels show, Winning Family of the Year and has produced several State Premium daughters who have gone on to accomplish many of there own victories. Weltdame is also the full sister to the super stallion Wertherson who stood in the U.S.A.. Weltana has enjoyed many Mare Show victories accompanied by two of her wonderful sisters, one of Germany most successful mares in competition as noted, SPS Wertvolle and another excellent sister SPS Akira. Together this trio were awarded Winning Family of the Year in 1999. In 2000 she and her sister's competed and became Reserve Champion Mare Family at a very tough competition. They were then invited to compete at the Ratje-Niebuhr show in Verden where they competed individually and as a Family. As a family they were awarded top honors and a 1a prize. Weltana has since been imported and to date has produced two wonderful foals. An excellent filly by the great Donnerhall and a gorgeous colt by De Niro. The De Niro colt was produced through frozen semen. She caught on the first insemination therefore is a great candidate for A.I. using frozen semen. She was left open in 2003 and so is ready now to be bred to the stallion of your choice. She has a wonderful character, an almost impossible history to match, she is an excellent producer and is a wonderful mother. This is truly one of the very best mares to leave Germany. An incredible opportunity to own one of the most influential lines in Hanoverian history. This mare is also very sound and when vetted in Germany had perfect Class I x-rays.
